What is TorrentTrader v2?

This will be the next major release for TorrentTrader, we have taken a look over the entire code and every page you see has been re-viewed/re-written (in part if not whole)
Whats included?
------------------
Well first off, this release's main function it to operate as a tracker and do various minor functions. We have added several options to the source.
- Tracker functionality (announce/scrape etc)
- New News System
- New Blocks System
- Recoded Themes
- New Categories System (With Sub-Cats!)
- External Torrents as default (optional) (NEW CODE!)
- Passkey as default (unless site is not members only)
- Wait times
- New BOOLEAN search ability ( + - " etc )
- Rewritten Comments System
- Rewritten functions throughout
- New User Classes Management / Access rights
- New Uploading method
- New Private Message System
- Upload images with torrents
- Who's Where
- New NFO system (edit ability too)
- New RSS Feed and customisation
- New Account pages
- New admincp (currently basic)
- Every page checked and optimised, reduction in files too (take-xxxxxx.php removed)
- New BBCode Buttons
- Updated Shoutbox
- Email Bans
- Client/Agent Bans
- Loads more that I forget
Whats Not Done Yet?

- Staff are unable to change another users class, please use phpmyadmin
- Email notifs (upload)

- Basics for adding warnings is done, but there is no warnings system as yet

- Loads of additional hacks that will be included as default! (requests etc)
Blocks, What Are These?
----------------------------
We have changed the theme system slightly, it will now operate like a portal site. You will now be able to customise, move, sort, and add blocks in your layout.
These are easy to install and configure. Just simply upload the xxxx_block.php to the blocks folder via FTP and then add it via the admincp pages
Currently Included Blocks:
login - User Login Block (there is still the top link if requred)
maincats - Shows links to all parent_cats
navigate - Main navigation block, links to pages like forums, rules etc (some links will not work)
advancestats - Advace site stats block (with cache)
latestuploads - Latest 5 uploads (with cache)
invite - Invites block (not coded fully yet)
simplesearch - Search block
serverload - Displays server load and other info
usersonline - Displays users online (with cache)
seedwanted - Top torrents needing seeds
advancesearch - Advance search block, with additional options
donate - donation block, you would need to edit this to add your donation link etc
rss - display another sites RSS
latestimages - latest images uploaded
scrollingnews - display the site new headlines in a scrolling block
mostactivetorrents - most active torrents
polls - polls, working but backend in admincp.php is not finished
newestmember - just displays the newest 5 members
How Do Sub-Categories Work?

These work quite simple, when creating or editing a category via the admincp.php you will be asked to input a Parent Category, these are then grouped together and for the "Main", or "Parent" categories. These must be input EXACTLY the same for each. Please see the examples for more info
Can I Upgrade My Site To V2?
----------------------------------
Short answer is yes, but currently there is no guide.
Basicly you should be able to keep all torrents and users in place, those tables do have some minor modifications though.
How Do I Install It?
----------------------
-Upload all files to your server
-Import the FULLDB.sql file thats found in /DB into your mysql server
-Edit backend/mysql.php and input your details
-Edit backend/config.php and change all details to yours, (sitename, siteurl, announceurl, paths etc)
-CHMOD /cache and /uploads to 777
Admin Login: admin/admin (we suggest you sign up a new user, make it admin class and delete the default via phpmyadmin)
How do I adjust settings etc
==================
Your first port of call would be backend/config.php you can enable/disable many of the sites features and settings from here.
Also the admincp.php offers control over several things.
